What we do

We create innovative programs that blend education, environmental justice, and workforce development. Through culturally responsive, hands-on learning, we empower all ages to solve real-world problems and drive lasting community impact.

What We Do

ISOH develops and implements innovative programs that fuse education, environmental justice, and workforce development. Each initiative is grounded in culturally responsive teaching practices and designed to facilitate intergenerational learning, practical problem-solving, and community impact.

Preparing Future Innovators with AI Skills

Our Work-Ready AI Certification Program equips students and educators with essential skills in artificial intelligence, data visualization, and environmental monitoring. Designed for middle schoolers through young adults, the program fosters confidence and tech fluency in a supportive learning environment.

Real-World Learning for Meaningful Impact

Participants earn industry-recognized certifications while engaging in hands-on, project-based learning. Through mentorship and career exploration, they gain real-world experience that prepares them for future opportunities in tech and environmental fields.

Youth-Led Air Quality Monitoring

Through hands-on science, youth monitor local air quality and assess environmental conditions in high-impact areas. Using low-cost sensors and mapping tools, they gather real data to explore the connection between pollution and health disparities.

Advocacy Through Data and Storytelling

Students turn science into action by visualizing their findings and sharing them through public presentations. By connecting data to lived experience, they raise awareness and advocate for policy changes that support clean air and healthier communities.

Curriculum Mentorship & Teacher Training

We collaborate with educators and institutions to create and implement inclusive, inquiry-based science curricula. ISOH provides professional development workshops, coaching, and curriculum guides that promote equity and engagement in STEM classrooms.

“ISOH opened my eyes to the power of combining science and advocacy. Through the AI certification and environmental labs, I not only learned technical skills but also found my voice as a leader in my community. These programs truly prepare you for the real world.”

Youth Environmental Advocacy Labs

These labs are safe, creative spaces where young people connect science with civic engagement. Participants investigate local environmental issues, lead data-driven campaigns, and use design-thinking to propose community-centered solutions. Labs culminate in public showcases where youth present their findings to stakeholders and policy leaders.
